Our Hip Preservation service is the only such comprehensive program in the region for Paediatric hip conditions which will provide complete care - from evaluation, to treatment, rehabilitation and long-term follow-up care for all hip related conditions. Our skilled team has expertise in treating all hip conditions. We offer a full spectrum of diagnostic and imaging testing there by better visualizing the entire hip, our clinical team can provide a more accurate diagnosis and help guide surgical treatment if needed. Our overall goal is hip preservation. That means we use treatments with a focus on saving the natural hip joint to prevent or reduce pain and prevent or significantly delay hip replacement

Common Conditions We Treat Hip Dysplasia

We treat hip dysplasia from neonatal age with Pavlik harness to late presenting dislocations which may need surgical re-locations to complex revisions of previous failed treatments. We are one of the few who are trained to perform complex pelvic acetabular osteotomies required for such conditions.

Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis

Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis is the most common hip disorder in older children and adolescents. We have the expertise to diagnose and treat mild to severe SCFE with the latest techniques.

Femoral Acetabular Impingement

Repetitive forceful jamming of the ball against the socket causes damage to the joint cartilage and leads to arthritis at a young age. We provide expertise in diagnosing and treating FAI and sports injuries with arthroscopic and open repair techniques.

Legg Calve Perthes Disease

A condition in which the ball-shaped head of the thighbone (femoral head) loses its blood supply. We provide expert treatment be it conservative to surgery. Surgery involves containment procedures to complex reconstructions.
